AI is becoming the operating system for nearly everything, and markets are next. At Lute Labs we build the data and trading infrastructure that world runs on, for people and for agents.

I came up in latency sensitive trading and arbitrage, where every millisecond is a cost. Before that I built machine learning and computer vision systems at Canon. I also invest early in companies across finance, media, consumer and sports.

  1. 2026Granted my second US patent, for a machine learning and computer vision system built at Canon.
  2. 2025Cofounded Lute Labs.
  3. 2024Crawley Town FC won the League Two play off final at Wembley and was promoted to League One.
  4. 2022Cofounded WAGMI United, the investment group that bought Crawley Town FC, and co owned the club.
  5. Cofounded Ready Player DAO, a gaming venture that raised $10.2 million at a $150 million valuation.
  6. 2021Ran Futureproof, an advisory and early stage investment firm.
  7. Bought a photograph from Justin Aversano's Twin Flames series for about $16,000 and sold it six weeks later for about $390,000.
  8. 2019Moved into Canon's global AI group, building machine learning and computer vision systems.
  9. 2018Won Canon's President's Award for a quick change material delivery system that took injection molding machine utilization from about 65% to over 95%.
  10. Joined Canon Virginia as a mechanical engineer.
  11. 2017Graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in mechanical engineering.

I grew up in Kingsville, Maryland and studied mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech, and the engineer in me never left. Away from markets I rebuilt a 1985 Porsche 944 from the ground up, a full restoration I did myself.
